Day 180: the view from above
My friend and I decided we would go for a trek up one of the little mountains that hugs the coastal town we call home. We had been up before, but not in years. We made it to the top and all of a sudden we lost the ability to speak. All we could do was stand in awe of the view trying to find words worthy enough for the moment. It was incredible! Rocky cliffs and sunken mountains met the sea with magnificence. The expanse of salt water stretched as far our sight would allow and we simply stood there, 290m above sea level with not another human close by. It’s moments like these that make it very hard to believe this world could ever be a mistake. It’s too splendid and wonderful for a mere accident. Thankful for the view from above.
