Day 49: Christian Surfers Girls
Christian Surfers Girls Australia…we are the daughters of the wave maker. As a whole we are the girls that know and respect who our creator is and love living in his creation. So many fun faces, so many adventures, so much in common! More than thankful.

Day 48: excuses to dress up
I’m not one to dress up and wear heels very often. In fact, the idea of heels often scares me. Being all of 175cm tall, when I add another 2 inches to my height, all of a sudden I feel like Goliath. Having said that, when the occasion arises that calls for me to dress nice, pulling out a nice dress and dusting off my heels is a bit of fun, however daunting it may be. A fundraiser the other...
Day 47: My family
Loving, loud, outspoken, committed, caring, funny, talented, opinionated, individual, different, fun-loving, willing, active, awkward at times and occasionally controversial, but never in conflict…that’s my family in a nutshell. They are the people that I can always come back to. They are my grassroots and even though we are all very different, I love them all. Extremely thankful for...
Day 46: REACH gala night
It’s a powerful thing when leaders start to show youthful kids their potential. The REACH gala night allowed the youth of Shire Live to showcase their many talents and gave opportunity for the community to put into the youth via fundraising. These kids are out to make their generation the one that makes good change. When asked if possible they answer…why not?? I’m thankful that...
Day 45: clean water
Growing up in Australia I think I take a lot of things for granted. Clean water is one of these. I haven’t ever had to worry about whether I would have enough to drink and my thoughts and prayers go out to those in such a situation. I’m thankful for clean water.
Day 44: the ANZACs
It seems only appropriate that I respect the soldiers that fought for our Australian freedom and safety on ANZAC day. They deserve every bit of this remembrance day. Thank you ANZACs for your selfless sacrifices.
Day 43: rainbows
Today I chased a rainbow. I didn’t do that just because I thought it was beautiful, although the magical arc of colour always grabs my attention. For me, the rainbow is a reminder that God cares for us even when that doesn’t seem possible. I’m thankful for the magnificence of a rainbow promise.
Day 42: People
In the photo below there are many people. I don’t know anyone in this picture but everyone captured has a story. Everyone in that photo is known by someone and has been experienced life in a different light. I am thankful that we are surrounded by people. Without them there is no purpose in life.
Day 41: kids who smile anyway
Kids that smile despite the fact that they have nothing always challenge me in the most beautiful way. They don’t need the latest toy or clothes, they have learnt to be content…even happy. Im thankful for the strong will of these kids who keep on smiling anyway.
Day 40: taking photos
Now, I’m no photographer by any standard but that doesn’t rule me out from taking photos. Capturing a moment in time is special enough for thankfulness. But for the people that can use a camera properly, I am thankful for your creativity, your ability to see beauty and the skill you have to convey emotion in a single frame.
Day 39: Girls surf camp
A handful of young, sun-loving, girl surfers from the South Coast and Cronulla were chosen to be apart of a two day coaching camp, run yesterday and today. Along with another coach, I got to help the girls with their surfing. It was a good opportunity for both them and me. I am thankful for these last two days!
Day 38: signs like these
It seems like a strange thing to be thankful for but if you happen to notice the sign it might make you smile, laugh or wonder. All of these are nice and give me reason to be thankful for simple things like these.
Day 37: friendship
Beautiful is her description. In a world where pain and suffering exist she seems to be the only one capable of saving people’s hearts. She offers help when no one else can see you’re in need and she will carry your emotions like they are her own. Very delicately she will hold your heart, careful not to cause it any pain. And just like she holds your heart, she will hold your hand...
36: writing
It’s the characters marked on material by pen or the like. But I think it can mean much more than that. Allowing anyone to express themselves the simple action suddenly becomes powerful and influential. I’m thankful for the ability to write but also for they way it can be shared by many.
Day 35: a couple of days away
I found myself escaping down the coast with a board, skateboard and enough clothes to last me a couple of days. I was headed for a place that a dear friend calls home. The time away delivered far beyond my expectations…the loving company of a beloved friend, the beginning of new friendships, surfing because we could, loving the sun, standing in awe at the colour of sunset skies and...

Day 34: the Treehouse Connection
The Treehouse Connection. The treehouse of your childhood was that place where you could escape what’s real and just imagine. The treehouse connection does what it says, allowing you to go back to that treehouse life and just enjoy today for what it is. It’s a simple formula…great people, great place and great food. I’m thankful for this creative cafe and the love that...
